Alheit Family Wines with Chris Alheit - Wednesday 30th September 2026

We’re incredibly fortunate to have Chris Alheit join us this September to share the story of Alheit Family wines. Chris is one of South Africa’s most influential winemakers and old vine rescuers! A key figure in the Old Vine Project to preserve the country’s OV heritage and making wine that truly expresses the character and heritage of the Cape. The 2011 Cartology was Chris and Suzanne's debut wine. In Tim Atkin's South Africa report, one of Chris's wines has been called the Best White of the Year for both 2026 and 2025. We will show a mini vertical of Cartology with the following vintages, 2025, 2023, 2012 and 2011. A flight of older single-origin wines including, Radio Lazarus 2014, Magnetic North 2014, La Colline 2018 and Fire by Night 2018. And the new single origin releases Fire by night 2025, Magnetic North 2025, Nautical Dawn 2025 and Huilkrans 2025. We will present a mini vertical of Cartology Including the maiden 2011 vintage, a selection of older single-origin wines including, Radio Lazarus, Magnetic North and Fire By Night, as well as a preview of some of the 2025 releases.
