An Italian Masterclass with Michael Palij MW

We’re very pleased and honoured to be joined for an evening of Italian wines by Master of Wine Michael Palij. Michael moved from his native Canada in 1989, passed the strenuous MW exams in 1995 and over the past 30 years has built his company Winetraders into one of the UK’s premium sources for Italian wines. We’ll post the line-up of wines here as soon as we have it, but you can expect representation from throughout the country, including (probably) some Timorasso, a grape that was once close to extinction but which is now seen as one of the finest white grapes not just in its native Piedmont but in them whole of Italy. Michael can take much of the credit for the revival of Timorasso and other lesser-known Italian grapes, and also in bringing several top Italian estates to the attention of wine lovers in the UK and beyond.
