Authentic Vernaccia with Panizzi wines - Masterclass

Discover the true taste of Vernaccia with Panizzi wines in this fun, hands-on masterclass! Panizzi will present a focused masterclass on Vernaccia di San Gimignano to the UK wine trade on 29 September 2026, offering an in-depth exploration of one of Tuscany’s most distinctive white wine appellations through a selection of current and mature vintages. “Authentic Vernaccia: One Wine. Centuries of History. Endless Character” will take place from 3:00–5:00 pm at the Leonardo Hotel Cardiff, bringing together a unique line-up of Panizzi wines designed to demonstrate the elegance, complexity, and ageing potential of Vernaccia di San Gimignano. The tasting will feature a series of vintages across three Panizzi expressions: Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG (2025, 2024 and 2022), Vernaccia di San Gimignano Vigna Santa Margherita DOCG (2024, 2022 and 2019), and Vernaccia di San Gimignano Riserva DOCG (2022, 2016 and 2014). The carefully curated vertical tasting will give wine professionals the opportunity to assess how Vernaccia develops over time, while exploring the different expressions of the Panizzi range. For the UK trade, the masterclass offers an opportunity to engage with a historic Tuscan white variety through a range that moves well beyond the perception of Vernaccia as simply a young, fresh white wine.
