Christmas Port & Cheese Tasting

The Douro Valley in Portugal has an extensive wine history making one of the finest fortified wines in the world - port! A huge favourite on an celebratory table, port comes in many guises from surprisingly refreshing white ports, to soft, mellow tawny ports and classic, long-lived vintage ports. Join us as we 'travel' down the river tasting six classic ports as we delve into this magical region. Each port will paired with a delicious cheese that will bring out the best in both the food and the wine. We do alter the line up for each tasting and in the past we have shown wines such as: A white port, An age indicated tawny port, LBV port, An aged vintage port, A single estate vintage port, A colheita port - barrel aged Port. Your tasting will include: tasting samples of six carefully selected ports, tasting samples of six cheeses, full handouts and wine notes, a 2 hour interactive presentation with Q&A.
