A new feature to start our end of year festivities! Join me as I look back at my wine highlights of the past twelve months. There will be a mix of wine discoveries from my travels, press recommendations that truly delivered, and treats picked up in auction.
The wines will be revealed on the night but the lineup so far, with approximate retail prices, is looking like;
- My standout sparkling of the year – incredible complexity for £25.00
- My supermarket wine of the year - a Jancis Robinson recommended Italian white, astonishing value at £12.00
- My surprise of the year - a popular white wine but not as you know it… £20.00
- My red wine of the year - a favorite grape variety from a favorite region but not the usual grape from this region… £25.00
- My auction bargain of the year (old world) - a classic French red £65.00
- My auction bargain of the year (new world) - an Aussie Icon red £45.00
Get in nice and early for this Christmas Special as numbers will be limited. Expect a fun selection of fabulous wines served with seasonal nibbles to kick off the festive season!
