About this event
Join Hanwell Wine for their annual grape harvest, typically held in September and October. This is a unique opportunity to get involved in vineyard life and help pick grapes alongside the local community. Volunteers are welcome to spend a day outdoors, contributing to the winemaking process from the very beginning. Snips and gloves are provided, and participants should wear layers, waterproof footwear, and bring a raincoat just in case. Children are welcome with restrictions, and all under 18 require parental consent. The day includes a briefing at 9:30am or 10:30am, breaks with hot and cold drinks and snacks, and a complimentary sandwich lunch. Picking usually finishes between 3:00 and 5:00pm. At the end of the harvest period, every volunteer over 18 receives a bottle of Hanwell Wine as a thank you. Dates are confirmed a day in advance based on ripeness and weather conditions. Sign up for the email list to be notified of upcoming opportunities.
