About this event

Greek wine is earning a more prominent place on contemporary wine lists, driven by distinctive indigenous varieties, increasingly defined regional identities and a generation of producers working with greater precision and ambition. On Monday, 19th October, Great Greek Wines returns to London, bringing together 40 wineries from Greece and Cyprus at OXO2 on the South Bank. The programme begins with “Greek Terroirs: An In-Depth Exploration” , a masterclass presented by Yiannis Karakasis MW, followed by the Panorama Walk Around Tasting , offering you the opportunity to directly access 40 producers and explore wines from established estates alongside some of the most interesting emerging names. Event Details and Registration Great Greek Wines 2026 Date: Monday 19th October 2026 Masterclass: 10:00-11:30 Walk-around Tasting: 12:00-17:00 Location: OXO2, London SE1 9PH MASTERCLASS 10:00-11:30 “Greek Terroirs: An In-Depth Exploration” Presented by Yiannis Karakasis MW, this masterclass explores the diversity of Greek wine through three distinct geographical landscapes: 1. the Greek Islands and Cyprus, 2. the mountainous Peloponnese and Central Greece, and 3. the continental North. The selection goes beyond benchmark wines. Alongside some of Greece’s most celebrated terroir expressions, it features rare releases, mature vintages and experimental bottlings that capture the dynamic evolution of the country’s wine scene. From the aged Vilana Pirovolikes 2021 by Lyrarakis and the benchmark Assyrtikos of Santorini and Tinos to Alpha Estate’s Experimental Xinomavro Clone 37, participants will experience both the heritage and the future of Greek wine in a single tasting. Across 18 wines, the masterclass reveals how geology, altitude, climate, indigenous varieties, and human ambition combine to create one of Europe’s most exciting and diverse wine landscapes. This is a rare opportunity to capture a unique snapshot of where Greek wine stands today and where it is heading next. Registe
