About this event
Join us for an introductory look at the wonderfully diverse and quirky world of wine. This evening is perfect for those to new to wine or who want to understand the basics of wine tasting.
You will taste at least 6 delicious wines from around the world. From crisp and tangy whites to richer and fuller styles, from light-bodied red wines that are perfect with fish and chicken to stronger and fuller styles that are better with lamb and beef.
We'll provide lots of helpful tips and insights to enhance your enjoyment.
By the end of the evening you will have learned:
- How to sip, swirl and sniff like a professional
- How to identify aromas and flavours in wine
- About the influence of climate and weather
- The influence of oak and other wine-making techniques
All tastings include: a minimum of 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes, use of professional tasting glasses and some food pairing with nibbles.
All our courses can be purchased as a Gift either as a dated or undated voucher.
