About this event
Some of Europe’s most distinctive wines come from places where local grape varieties and long-established traditions have survived largely intact. Georgia, Croatia and Greece offer a fascinating mix of unusual grapes, styles and winemaking traditions. We’ll travel across the Caucasus, the Balkans and the eastern Mediterranean, from Georgia’s qvevri wines to Croatia’s coastal vineyards and Greece’s expressive native varieties, with a few discoveries from further afield along the way. An evening of distinctive wines, fascinating places and plenty to discover beyond the familiar. Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
