About this event
A relaxed and sociable wine tasting with Master of Wine Jo Ahearne MW and wine merchant Ciaran Keaney from Carringtons Wines. The evening features six wines centred on the theme of Albariño versus Alvarinho, exploring whether these Iberian whites deserve the 'white Burgundy' comparison. The tasting is interactive, with no formal lecture — guests are encouraged to share thoughts, ask questions and compare notes. The event begins with a welcome glass of bubbles, followed by three flights of wine paired with BBQ seafood small plates from The Angel's chef. A mystery wine challenge rounds off the evening. Suitable for both beginners and experienced wine lovers, the focus is on shared discovery and conversation.
