About this event

This Italian Wine Scholar course is an advanced and comprehensive specialization program on the wines of Northern Italy, created by native Italian Maurizio Broggi, DWS, FWS with support from Italian wine DOC/G consortia. The course mirrors the academic rigour of the French Wine Scholar program and is ideal for those who have completed or are studying WSET Level 3 or 4, sommeliers, importers, and wine enthusiasts. The course runs over seven weeks with live online sessions every Monday from 7:00pm to 9:30pm, each including tasting of at least six wines. A tasting kit with 50ml samples is included in the course fee and delivered weekly across the UK. All live sessions are recorded for catch-up. The course concludes with an in-person exam at West London Wine School on 30th November 2026. The fee includes the study manual, online learning modules, quizzes, pronunciation exercises, and exam fees. Students can register for Unit 1 and Unit 2 in any order. The full Italian Wine Scholar credential is awarded based on the combined score from both units.
