Saturday Introduction to Wine With Lunch - Spanish Themed

Our Saturday event with lunch has always been very popular, but for 2026 we are changing things to make it an even more interesting and indulgent experience. We will now focus our attention on one of the three main wine-producing countries of the world – France , Italy and Spain . This allows us to take a deeper dive, and we’ve also upped the wine budget significantly to give you a richer experience (just look at the list of wines below!) In addition, rather than taking a break for lunch, we will graze through the afternoon on a selection of expertly prepared “small plates” from the St Vincent Kitchen, paired with the wines we are tasting. To facilitate the change of format, we will now start at 12.30 and aim to finish by 4.30pm. There are a total of 12 fabulous wines to sample , from sparkling through, white & red and finishing with something for dessert. For our Spanish themed day, the wines will be as follows - Cava DO Reserva (Sparkling wine Catalunya) - Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda DO (Fortified wine from Andalucia) - Rias Baixas DO (White wine from Galicia) - Rueda DO (White wine from Castilla y Leon) - Rioja DOCa (White wine from La Rioja) - Bierzo DO (Red wine from Castilla y Leon) - Cariñena DO (Red wine from Ebro River Valley) - Rioja DOCa Reserva (Red wine from La Rioja) - Ribera del Duero DO (Red wine from Castilla y Leon) - Jumilla DO (Red wine from Alicante) - Priorat DOQ (Red wine from Catalunya) - Pedro Ximinex Sherry DO (Incredibly sweet dessert wine from Andalucia) You will taste 12 wines, from all over Spain and learn all about wine including how to make amazing food and wine pairings. The day is suitable for anybody, from beginners to budding connoisseurs and is a relaxed, informal event. From past experience, new friendships are often made over a few glasses of wine
