Saturday: South Africa

Since the abolishment of apartheid in the 1990s this country has finally been allowed to spread its wings and is now producing some of the genuinely most exciting wines in the world. On this tasting we'll showcase some of the best: South Africa's flagship grape variety, the smoky Pinotage, and honeyed, appley Chenin Blanc, the perfect versitile grape.

However, there is much more to South Africa than these signature varieties. We'll explore Bordeaux blends, Rhone varieties and even a fortifed wine, a style that is usually more associated with Europe.
