Join us in our Ormeau Road tasting room for a guided evening exploring the wine of Northern Piedmont & Irish Cheese with Neill Wine. Piedmont might be best known for Barolo and Barbaresco, but travel a little further north and there’s a whole other side to this extraordinary wine region waiting to be explored. Join our Stephen, and Robert from Neill Wines for a more than slightly special edition of our wine and cheese tastings, as we head to Northern Piedmont – home to beautiful, characterful wines from the foothills of the Alps. We’ll taste our way through a carefully chosen selection of wines from the region, exploring the grapes, places and people behind them, with each wine paired with an Irish cheese chosen to bring out the best in both. Absolutely no wine snobbery allowed. These evenings are about tasting, talking and discovering what you like. A guided tasting of a selection of Northern Piedmont wines, a carefully matched selection of Irish artisan cheeses, an introduction to the grapes, regions and winemaking traditions of Northern Piedmont, plenty of discussion about why each wine and cheese pairing works, and a relaxed, intimate evening in our Ormeau Road tasting room.
