About this event
Dive deep into these two red grape varieties - Syrah and Grenache - made famous in the Rhône Valley but now known all over the world; as we explore how these varieties can create contrasting wines from various regions of the globe. Amongst the wines we will sample will be the iconic Chateauneuf du Pape alongside the renowned Barossa Valley Shiraz, as well as the world class wines of the Priorat region of Spain. This really is a tasting for those that delight in drinking big and bold red wines. From the smoky, peppery bold wines of Syrah to the sun-drenched red fruit of Grenache, you’ll experience how terroir, climate, and winemaking style shape each wine that we sample. This tasting is part of our Under the Grape Skin series - designed to take wine lovers beneath the surface, exploring the varietals, terroir, winemaking techniques, and flavor profiles that define each wine. Whether you're a budding enthusiast or a seasoned collector, this three tasting series will allow you to get a better understanding and appreciation of some of the best known varieties.
