Wine and Gastronomy (Term 1)

Wine and Gastronomy (Term 1) is the first step toward completing the Diploma in Wine, Gastronomy and Management. The 3-month course is designed to give you a strong foundation on which to build your wine and gastronomy skills and knowledge. It includes modules such as wine sensory analysis, wine production, food and wine matching, and hospitality and events. During this term, you will taste a large selection of wine and beverages at trade tastings and wine events, as well as visit wineries, breweries, distilleries, and restaurants based in the UK. The course also covers wine-producing countries and regions, focusing on France, Italy, and sparkling wines, supported by in-house tastings and professional fairs. Gastronomy lessons include food and wine pairing with theoretical and practical understanding, and field visits to various UK wineries, breweries, distilleries, and restaurants.
