Wines and Cheese of North Italy!

Join us as we kick off our tour of Italy in the first week with a tasting of the wines of the North- Piemonte which, houses wines such as Barolo, Barberesco, Gavi and Asti with key wonderful grape varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, Cortese and Dolcetto. Then we have Lombardy & Trentino Alto-Adige where there are aromatic whites and vibrant reds such as Lagrein and Teroldego. We will also look at Veneto with nearby regions such as Friuli Venezia Giulia and Marche. Veneto houses the Corvina grape variety which is the backbone powerhouse grape behind Bardolino, Valpolicella (Ripasso), and Amarone della Valpolicella, and white wine production is dominated by Soave with increasing amounts of Pinot Grigio found here as well as a sizeable fizz production in the way of Prosecco. And so much more... This evening is suitable for all levels of wine knowledge! This event will include tasting samples of six carefully selected wines and cheese, wine notes & handouts, and a 2-hour interactive presentation, with Q&A, led by our wine tutor.
