World of Wine - Australia and New Zealand

While the grape varieties may be familiar (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah/Shiraz) the wines being produced by antipodean winemakers today are innovative, exciting and delicious. Across this vast nation, from Hastings River on the east coast to Margaret River on the west, innovative producers are creating their own, unique signature styles of wine. Hunter Valley is home to a unique take on Semillon, while Clare and Eden Valleys produce stunning Rieslings. In Barossa and Coonawarra, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon respectively have become benchmarks for delicious, full-flavoured red wines.
