Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc. Despite their success across the world, all these grapes and more can claim France as their homeland, the place from which their fame and popularity has spread over many, many, years. Trying to define any country with just a few wines is a difficult task, and it seems especially tough for France. But we'll try!
Taste a selection of wines from iconic and lesser-known appellations across the country to get a flavour of why France continues to hold such an important place in the hearts and minds of wine lovers everywhere!
We'll be tasting 6 wines, both red and white, to showcase the variety, quality and drinking pleasure that French wines can offer.
