About this event

The WSET Level 2 Wine award course is suitable for anybody who has a serious interest in wine and wishes to broaden their knowledge in a structured way. Through a combination of tasting and theory you will explore the factors that impact the style and quality of wine and learn how to describe wines with confidence. The course covers wine tasting using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting, food and wine matching, wine service and storage, labelling, factors influencing wine style, grape varieties including key international and regionally important ones, sparkling and fortified wines, and key wine-producing regions of the world. The 1 hour multiple-choice exam is taken on the final day with a 55% pass mark. Students are expected to complete around 12 hours of private study. The fee includes all course materials, access to Wine With Jimmy online learning, tasting of 30+ wines including Champagne and Port, professional tuition, and examination fees. All students who pass receive an internationally recognised e-certificate.
