About this event

WSET Level 3 in Wines Award is an advanced level qualification for professionals working in the wine industry and for wine enthusiasts. If you are looking to delve deeper into the world of wines, this qualification provides a detailed understanding of grape growing and wine making. Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality. The course covers wine tasting using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting, food and wine matching, labelling, wine production, and the styles of light, sparkling, and fortified wines from key wine regions worldwide. The examination takes place on the final day and includes a theory paper (50 multiple-choice and 4 short-answer questions) and a blind tasting of two wines. A mark of 55% is required in all sections to pass. The fee of £955 includes all course materials, wine tasting samples (approx 70 wines), professional ISO tasting glasses, 6 days of tuition by a WSET Certified tutor, mock exams, student support, registration with WSET, and examination fees. Recommended private study is 56 hours.
