About this event
What you’ll learn:
- The key factors in the production of wine: location, grape growing, winemaking, maturation and bottling
- The key characteristics of the principal: still wines of the world, sparkling wines of the world, fortified wines of the world
- How to make appropriate wine recommendations
- How to taste wines using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)
- Tutored tastings of 82 wines
The course runs over 6 Sundays: 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th November and 6th December 2026, from 9.00-4.00pm. Includes an exam date and an optional visit to Winding Wood Vineyard (dates to be confirmed). A booking form must be completed 14 days prior to the course start date. The qualification requires 54 hours of personal study. Assessment: closed-book exam (50 multiple-choice questions + short written answers) and blind tasting of two wines. Price includes tea and coffee; lunch not provided.
